off-road use.
16" – best for jogging and some off
roading, the most practical and popular size.
12" – this size is best for sidewalks and
smooth roads, also offers more maneuverability.
If running on rough surfaces look for knobby tires;
for smooth surfaces, look for smooth tires.
It’s worth the extra expense to buy
baby
strollers with alloy wheels and an aluminum frame. Not only are they more
lightweight but they won’t rust. This is important if you live in a wet,
humid climate.
Features to Look For:
Wrist Brakes. These are straps that attach to the
frame and are then wrapped around your the wrist. When stopped this will
prevent the stroller from rolling away.
Handbrake and parking brake.
Look for excellent shock absorbers and suspension if
you'll be taking the little one onto very bumpy terrain.
Adjustable handlebar height is a must if there is a
considerable height difference between the ones doing the pushing.
An oversize canopy and deep comfy seating will keep
babies happy.
5 point restraint system: 2 at baby’s
shoulders, 2 at the legs, and 1 at the crotch.
